This all-day catering is only offered as part of the Full Day Yoga Retreat and includes daily:
• a tasty raw vegan breakfast / brunch with fresh juices, muesli creations, local fruits and a wellness tea
• a yummy afternoon snack with dried fruit, nuts and energy balls, for example
• a delicious dinner with salads, sandwiches, spreads, avocados and side dishes.
On the evening of your arrival, we will prepare a lovingly decorated salad with avocados, sprout bread, olives and herbs.
On the morning of your departure, you will receive a small travel snack consisting of dried fruit, nuts and fruit.
We will send you our list of ingredients about 10 days before the start of your holiday. You then have the opportunity to point out any special preferences or food intolerances.
Our wild and romantic flower oasis “VIDYAMOR” is located in an idyllic valley with a view of the sea. There you can enjoy our beautifully designed guest house all to yourself.
The lovingly furnished and bright guest accommodation offers a spectacular and unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. The guest room also has a double and single bed, a cosy sweden stove and an air conditionerand an adjoining shower room/WC.
Your own sheltered garden terrace with a cosy seating area under a vine arbour and comfortable deckchairs invite you to linger. Right next door is your small private sunbathing lawn with hammock, where you can hang out in comfort 😉
The guest house has direct access to the practice where you will receive your treatments.
The VIDYAMOR oasis for Detox & Wellness Yoga Retreats is a place of healing. We would therefore be delighted if our guests could have a good time on our premises even without stimulants such as cigarettes, alcoholic drinks, coffee, etc.
As the slightly ascending footpath from the car park to your guest house takes approx. 7 min. we recommend that you take a rucksack instead of a suitcase.

Pranayama, the yoga teaching of breath control, brings more oxygen into the blood and thus to the brain. The breathing exercises can stimulate the life energy (prana), which refreshes and vitalises us.
Various techniques are used to harmonise female and male energies, whereby the spiritual predominates and the physical recedes into the background. Since the mental state is reflected in the breath, it follows that by controlling the breath we also learn to control our mind, which in turn benefits us in the yoga techniques of concentration and meditation.

The mind has a tendency to wander restlessly; it likes to occupy itself with the past and the future, avoiding the present. Simple and efficient yoga concentration exercises can help us to calm the mind.
We have thus created the basis for meditation, in which we experience that state of inner peace that constitutes our true nature. One form of concentration/meditation is “mantra singing”, where meditative spiritual prayers are repeated.

The highest consciousness in yoga is “samadhi” – a state beyond time, space and causality, where body and mind are transcended and perfect unity prevails.
According to the yoga view, every living being carries a spark of the divine within itself. However, this light is covered by countless layers, such as pain, fear, anger and the illusion of three-dimensional perception. The aim of yoga is to lift these veils and merge with our true nature.
There are countless types of yoga:
Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Raja Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga are just a few of them, but any path that is followed with dedication, concentration and perseverance can lead to the goal.
Therapeutic yoga is for people who are unable to practise classical hatha yoga for health reasons. When practising therapeutic yoga, we emphasise controlled breathing and conscious awareness of the body.
Based on our many years of experience, we have put together various therapeutic physical exercises in such a way that they can be used holistically and individually for almost all health problems. With the help of special stretching exercises, it is possible to alleviate pain in the musculoskeletal system.
Certain exercises from “Pilates” and the “5 Tibetans” promote strength and flexibility so that you can then practise classic yoga asanas. Furthermore, so-called “Joints Rolling”, which is also used in Thai Chi, can release blockages and deposits from the joints.
Which exercises are best suited to each person is determined in a short consultation here in the Canary Islands.
